The church is situated above the village, on the steep cliff - Red Rock (400 meters above sea level). The temple built by the tea magnate A. D, Kuznetsova in honor of the rescue of the Emperor Alex-
sandra III and his family at train crash in 1888. The consecration took place in October 1892.

The image of the church on the rock-decorated tin cans with the best tea in the Russian Empire. It has become a trademark of the company A. Kuznetsov.
Decorating the church frescoes were executed by famous artists, KE Makovsky and AI Korzukhin, mosaic work - the Italian master Antonio Salviatti. Unfortunately, no paintings, no mosaics were not preserved.
In 1929 the church was closed. And since 1934, management of the sanatorium "Foros" in the property which passed the church, opened the restaurant in the temple.
Restoration of the church began in the late 1980s. The temple was restored and transferred to the community. Today, it again held the service.
