Getting there  
- Stay on the waterfront Lenin in the north-east.   Then, take the street Roosevelt and follow it to the turn onto the street Sverdlov.   Move along it to the streets Drazhinsky.   Then fold in the Sailors' lane.  

Tour of the city start with a look  of the temple of St. John Chrysostom on Polikurovsky hill. The  church and bell tower was erected in 1832-1837 under the project of Odessa architect G. Torricelli.   At the ceremony of consecration of the church attended by the Emperor Nicholas I and his wife, Alexandra.   Immediately afterwards, followed by the highest indication of the emperor to grant the status of Yalta.

In the 80s of the XIX century it was rebuilt - it is much expanded and reduced cross-domed space in a Byzantine style dome.  
Under Soviet rule the church was closed.   And after the fire, which happened in 1941, the church was dismantled on the rocks.   Survived only the bell tower.  
In the 1990s, the restoration of the temple's drawings Torricelli found in the archives of the Vorontsov Palace Museum in Alupka.   In 1998, the consecration of the church.
