Saki historical museum is housed in an old mansion that was built in 1912 in "modern" style.
There are several theories to explain the reasons for the construction of the mansion. On one of them, it was intended for the Tsarevich Alexei, the heir to the Russian throne, who was to undergo treatment mud. Tsarevich Alexei really treated Saka mud, but he took a mud bath on the balcony of the Livadia Palace in 1913. So this version is questionable. According to other sources, the mansion was designed for and belonged to the Countess Panova solepromyshlenniku Balashev. This version is more plausible.
After the revolution the building was nationalized. Before the war there were located executive committee, party and Komsomol committees. After the war the building was a hostel. In the 1970-1980-ies in the mansion housed a maternity hospital.
