St. Clement Monastery.

Getting there  
Sebastopol  
- On the train, "Sevastopol - Simferopol", leaving from the train station, you get to Inkerman Station 1.   Travel time - 15 minutes.   From the station go on foot along the road bridge over the Black, after the railway crossing and the petrol station turn right towards St. Clement Monastery. The turn is marked concrete stele.   Distance - 0.7 miles.   Then - see "Walk."  
- The shuttle bus № 103, leaving from the bus stop "5th kilometer of highway Balaklava", you get to the "Vtorchermet."   Journey time 30 minutes.   Then walk to the bus stop a little (go ahead on the bus) before turning to the monastery, designated a pointer to a cross.   Distance - 0.1 miles.   Then - see "Walk."  
- Bus lines Sevastopol - Simferopol Sevastopol bus from central bus station to get to Inkerman. Travel time - 20 minutes.   Then go to the bus stop on foot along the highway Sevastopol - Simferopol before turning to the monastery of St. Clement, designated a pointer to a cross. Distance - 1.5 miles.   Alley - see "Walk."  
- From the pier at the Nakhimov Square boat dock lines • Count - Inkerman get to the pier "Little Inkerman".   Travel time - 40 minutes.   From the pier go up the river to the Black Road Bridge.   Go through it.   Further move to the turn to the Holy Monastery of Clement, the designated indicator in the form of a cross.   Distance - 1 mile.   Then - see "Walk."  
- Move to Inkerman from Sevastopol on the highway M 26 or M 18, then a T-October 27, and from Simferopol - on highway M 26.   At Inkerman follow before turning to the monastery of St. Clement, designated a pointer to a cross and placed near the road bridge over the River Black.   Take the road to the monastery.   Car can be parked beside the road.   Then - see "Walk."  
- Pass through the tunnel under the railway embankment.   An asphalt road leads to the monastery buildings and the entrance of the cave temple.

A rock in which there are churches and cells of the monastery of St. Clement, called  The Monastery,  or Zagaytanskaya.   It is riddled with numerous caves and passages, one of which during the early Middle Ages (according to the Orthodox Church) was founded by  an Orthodox monastery.   The monastery was named in honor of Pope Clement, in the I century AD.   Oe.   exiled in Hersonissos and executed for preaching Christianity.   It is believed that the monastery has arisen only in the XV century, after the fort lost its importance to the Monastery rock.  
Visiting the Monastery of the best start of the dilapidated  buildings of the monastery hotels. Behind it is a fraternal body and built in 1867  Holy Trinity Church ground.   It is located near a metal gate, after which begins  the monastery courtyard.  
The complex of cave temples of the monastery consists of  three churches,  cut into thick Monastic rock.   The first church was consecrated in the name of  St. Martin  (the modern name of the church given to them during the recovery of the monastery in the XIX century).   Once it was rectangular in plan, covered by a semicircular arch.   In the niche of rock arranged Ossuary, which collected the remains of the once buried inside the cave complex people.   Second -  Church of St. Andrew Pervoavannogo.   The altar in this temple barrier solid, poliostyu carved into the rock.   Until recently, the size of the church were used on 2 meters, but now the rock wall between the churches of St. Martin and St. Andrew destroyed and they are actually a single church.  
The last of trehhramov cave complex is best known.   This is the  Church of St. Clement,  in the Middle Ages who wore the name of St. George.  
All three of cave churches have approximately the same stage of history.   The most probable time of their occurrence is considered to be the XV century, when Prince Alexei mangulsky restored fortress Calamita, although church tradition attributes them to VIII-IX centuries.

After inspecting the cave temples, go to the rock beneath the church  of St. Panteleimon the Healer,  which was built in 1888 in honor of the miraculous rescue of the railway accident of Emperor Alexander III.   In recent years, the church is restored.  

I pull baker Monastic rock to the 30s, last century, preserved cave church of St. Evgrafov.   It was founded in the XIII century, 6 in the early XX is restored.   There were traces of a medieval fresco.   In developing izvestnyakevogo career to the east of the Monastery Church of the Holy Rock was completely covered with Evgrafov soils.
