Getting there
- From the church go on museum lane, turn into the street Karaev and follow up to its intersection with the international street.
Unique historical and architectural complex consists of tekie (abode) dervishes (Sufis, a mystical religious currents in Islam) and the mosque Shukurla-Effendi. Such structures, consisting of a set of cells with a mosque, it was pretty much in the Crimea.
Tekie, dating back to XVI century, is a dome, octagonal building in the plan, which focuses on a spacious square hall. Located around the perimeter of one-story vaulted cell, where he lived dervishes. Very close to the building of the mosque is tekie Shukurla-Effendi, built in the late XVIII century.
In 2006, the complex of ancient buildings opened Ethnographic Center "Tekie dervish." His exhibition tell about the life of the dervishes. Here you can find clothing and interior design, kitchen utensils, musical instruments. In one room museum staff recreated the interior of the Crimean Tatar antebellum homes. Especially valuable are the exhibits from the personal collection of museum director Alife Yashlavskoy: Women's hats ("Marama") handmade, copper mugs for water, women are made of gold and silver.
